Our Process

At Everhart Renovations & Real Estate, it is our goal to design creative solutions that fit the needs of each homeowner.  We help turn design visions into reality and bring remodeling projects to life.

To meet this goal, we have tailored our process to focus on collaboration and communication. Past clients regularly express that they felt heard and that we captured everything they were looking for. We hope to do the same for your next remodeling or renovation project.

Initial Contact

During this initial phone or email conversation, we will listen and ask follow-up questions to better understand what your plans, goals, budget, and dreams are for your project. We’ll also review our process with you, answer any questions that you have about us, and set expectations for what we can bring to the project.  We believe that every project we undertake should be a win-win. To accomplish that, communication and transparency are a must.

At the end of this call, if we both feel that Everhart Renovations is a good fit for your project, we’ll schedule an in-home consultation.

In-Home Consultation

During this first in-person meeting, we will walk through your project space, take measurements, and further discuss your goals and must-haves for the project.  We will review your initial preferences for colors, materials, styles, other details, and the full scope of the project.  We’ll also review things like structural and mechanical limitations or additional work that might need to happen to make your project a success.

By the end of this meeting, we will determine if the project is feasible, can be done within your budget, and can be completed within your desired timeframe.

If these three elements are in line with your expectations, we will begin creating the estimate which will include the full scope of work as well as the corresponding design document and material selections.

Project Plan

Our project plan will be a detailed scope of work that includes labor to be completed, the materials to be used, and the cost of the entire project.  The scope of work will be divided into sections including; Demolition, Electrical,  Plumbing, Flooring, Cabinetry, etc.  The design document will offer a number of options for each material selection that will need to be made, including; Lighting, Flooring, Fixtures, etc.   The two documents work together to create a complete and thorough overview of the project.

There will be an opportunity to review and discuss all of the initial material selections, the scope of work details and the overall budget.  At this point, if we are in agreement, we will move forward with a signed contract and a small, non-refundable deposit that holds your place in our schedule.

Build

Prior to the start of the project, we will meet again to confirm and finalize material selections, zero in on a specific start date and work through the details of the project.

During the remodeling process, we will be mindful and make efforts to protect your house with plastic barriers, floor coverings and daily cleanings of our workspace.  We will also be available every day to review progress, and answer any questions you might have.
